i have a samsung and it will make a sound like 'doodle doo doo' and then the timer light begins to flash and the power goes off, then comes back on and does the very same thing. There is 'sound from a channel' but the screen does nothing.
I am considering purchase of new Panasonic TXP50G10 with 600Hz scan rate and inbuilt FreeSat , and wonder if anyone out there has any knowledge or experience of this new range.
My 5+ year old Sony KV-36FS76U has started to develop an intermittent fault switching to standby mode after anything from a few minutes to a few hours operation, with 5 red blinks followed by a green (this sequence repeating).
I can reset this using the remote standby switch, but switching the mains power or the set on/off does not work. It will then repeat this shutdown process every few minutes, but eventually carries on working for a longer period.
