I am considering purchase of new Panasonic TXP50G10 with 600Hz scan rate and inbuilt FreeSat , and wonder if anyone out there has any knowledge or experience of this new range.
I am on Virgin Media cable system and although HD broadcasts are of interest my current main concern is quality of SD pictures with particular regard to sports (Sky 1-3 and Setanta). In the showroom the SD picture quality, particularly blackness levels and colour tones, and edge definition/sharpness on normal setting (ie not Dynamic) look very good and marginally better than the previous TH50PZ81 range (comparing like for like, side by side). The onboard sound system also seems to be reasonably good but hard to judge in showroom.
Would appreciate hearing if anyone is aware of any potential technical problems or performance issues with this new range.
