Mitsubishi WS-55907 convergence problem? bowtieing/color distortion

Hello Larry,

Mitsubishi WS-55907

My brother wants to trash it, but I told him I did alittle research and I think we can fix it. I think I have the dreaded convergence problem. Bowtie...colors... all out of sorts. Can you please email me any help you can give me. I really do not want to spend for a repair man to come. I have a friend who has dealt with soldering and tvs. Please can you email me what to get, where to buy, and how to do. I kinda want everything all set to go for him...parts/tools etc. I really would appreciate it. email: [email protected]

Thank you,
Sicerely,
Haydo

Hello Larry,

Hello Larry,

Im back again with another question. I was able to find someone who is familiar with televisions to fix this problem with my WS-55907 (possible convergance IC replacement). Before doing the replacements he tested the voltages first. While testing voltages and noticed on the DIODE D9A57 there was a slight discoloring almost looking like a burnout (maybe the size of a penny) and was wondering what that might be and is it of any concern. Also on the Testing Point 110Y there was no voltage = 0. What are your concerns and continueing instruction on what we should do next. Please let me know any information. You have been such great help.

Thanks you I really appreciate this.
