Television and Home Theater

This Tv had water in it briefly during a recent flood in Houston.

I found corrosion in an IC and cleaned it off as good as I could.

That stopped the TV from turning off seconds after it was turned on but now there is no picture only sound.

When attempting to auto program channels the TV turns off.

Any suggestions?

I have an Acer Aspire 1350 laptop that runs Windows XP. My laptop has a VGA output and a S-video 7 pin output as well. I have a Sony CRT tv, with a 4 pin S-video and a RCA composite like most CRT tvs. So basically, i bought a VGA to S-video (female) and RCA (yellow composite - female) Y cable, thinking to connect the VGA to my laptop and the RCA to my TV. I bought a phono cable to connect the RCA to my tv. Herein lies the problem, when all the cables are connected, i can hear the sounds but there's nothing on my tv. I have tried pressing Fn+F3-8 and nothing seems to work.

  I just replaced 2 convergence ic  model# STK392-570 & 2 5amp pico fuses, on my Sony projection TV Model # KP-57HW40.  The color looks good now, the problem I'm having the colors are not matching up, like their over lapping each other.  I reseted my tv to factory settings but still have the same problem.  Can you help me correct this issue.  Thanks in advance...  Do you believe the IC are defective? Do I need to add special code to the TV?  Need expert help..
