While watching a movie, my projection television just went to a vertical blue/red/green line and shortly there after the sound quit as well. I'd like to fix it but I don't know where to start.

 

any suggestions?

Looking to see if anyone has a service manual for this set . The problem : the CRT's flash with no picture or sound . After about 5 min. warmup it stops flashing , there is a sideways figure 8 on the bottom of the screen only about 4 inches tall . The rest of the screen is black. Any help or the service manual would be greatly appreciated !

Hi! Mom has a Sony Trinitron Wega and the standby led is blinking twice - pause - 2 blinks etc. There's no picture and no sound. She's hoping not?to buy a new tv. What is the tv trying to tell me with this code? Thanks in advance for your help. Cliff.

Hey all,

I haven't met many project that I won't take on so when my Sony began blinking red I began reading up and it appears that the main fan next to the bulb may be the culprit. Does anyone know what the part number for this might be. The # on the part is listed as SFF21C GZ65C. Also any suggestions as to where to pick up the part would be appreciated. I am not finding it on http://www.partstore.com. Thanks.

Remove child lock on Magnavox 27MS343S without original remote

Hello--I  have accidentally turned on the child lock feature on my Magnavox 27MS343S for which I do not have a remote, and so it stays in a standby mode when plugged in. I ordered a replacement remote (http://www.emtcompany.com/magnavox-2...mote/rc64.html), but it still won't power on. It is a good TV and so I don't want to discard it. This is so very frustrating. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.

Mitsubishi WS-65908 Screen Goes Blue - DTV Inputs

I have a Mitsubishi WS-65908 rear projection TV that was purchased in the fall of 2001.  This TV has the V17+++ Chassis.  I'm experiencing an issue as follows:

I have a Verizon FIOS HD box connected to the DTV inputs feeding 1080i.

Several times a day when the TV is on, the screen loses the picture and goes blue (the same as when there is no input).

After several seconds the picture comes back.
