Television and Home Theater

I have a samsung HLN437WX. I have had it a long time now. It came from my mom and dad when they got a new one. It was used very little. It was doing just fine then one day I turned it on and it would not change channel, volume the menu would not come up. and the remote dont work, its like it just locked up. There was still a picture and sound. But whatever you had it on is what you watched. And now when I turn it on, its still the same but now no Picture or Sound. Now, If I keep turning it on and off it will sometimes have sound but no picture. Can you please help me? Thank you.

I have a 43" rear projection tv. (Older sony ) It has lines in the picture. Not the red, green or blue, but like static lines horizontal. And when there is a really white picture, like the progresive car insurance channel. It flickers and makes a tapping sound and wont quit till the commercial is over, ( or what ever is on. ) And What is An ( IC ) ? And can someone please tell me if the big red wires going to the tubes shock you if it is unplugged? Thank you.

I am working on a Mistubishi VS-50607 Rear
projection set. I have a short picture at the top of the screen. I
replaced the 100uf/50v caps in the convergence circuit along with the
100uf/50v cap in the vertical circuit.....It does not seem as if the
IC's are bad......this set uses the STK392-110 convergence IC's I am
not able to read the vertical output ID, does anyone have a manual or
some ideas for me?????
