Television and Home Theater

I just aquired this set and have been researching the convergence repair, all the symptoms are there. so i proceeded to get the board out and check the fuses before i ordered the repair kit and all the fuses are good is this possibly and indication that i may be chasing the wrong problem. also the chips also have a pink mark on the soldering pad, does this mean they have been replaced before? thank you 

We have a Sony KP51WS500 projection tv that we got for free on Craigslist. The previous owner didn't tell us what was wrong, so we turned it on and googled the symptoms. It had 5 blinking lights at startup, the display was bowed, the colors weren't in convergence, and in manual convergence PJE mode, only the blue would move. We ordered the convergence repair kit from tvrepairkits.com and checked fuses with our multimeter. There was one blown 5 amp pico fuse on the G Board and two blown 3.5 amp picos on the D board. We replaced those three fuses and also both IC chips on the D board.

I am after some advice reference a Horizontal black line that has appeared on screen throughout all media displayed, satellite, DVD, Blue Ray, PS3 etc

I have a Samsung 46" LCD 1080. The line is very thin and seems to be only 1 or 2 lines of crystals affected and fades out from left to right with the image returning in the last 2-3 inches of screen.

Is this a known regular fault?  Is there a possible fix for this?
