720 progressive

I bought a new 52" hdtv for my dad. I'm using a directv hd box. All hd chanels that use 1080i work fine. All channels that use 720p (espnhd and abchd) don't come in. they are compressed into three screens, all jumbled up, not in color, etc. the manual says nothing about it. any answers?

RCA Entertainment Series Model f32444 TV

We lost our remote and are trying to hook up a dvd recorder to it and we can not switch to video 1 or video 2 is there any way to do this without the remote? Our tv is an RCA Entertainment series model f32444. Can you help?

I admit that I am computer illiterate and need help figuring out how to connect a tuner and a computer to this massive monitor. I have been told that I need tv card for the computer (Compaq 6000)but I don't know what kind.
I have a Sony STR_D990 receiver.
Any help would be appreciated or any push in the right direction...........thanks

NEC Plasma Issue

About 4 years ago i spashed out many thousands of dollars for a 50" NEC 50MP1 - which has conveniently now gone black. I am now finding out that apparently no-one can fix them because repairs/parts are proprietary. Can this be true? Is there no way around this? NEC want me to ship it to them and they'll send me a refurb for $5K. This seems ridiculous to me or am i being naive??? Any help or thoughts greatly appreciated.

Well my Tv definetly has retrace lines but it also does this thing where if the movie or program I'm watching has a dark part like a night sceen the whole screen will go dark until you can't really see anything and I have to turn it off and back on to get it light again and sometimes it takes a couple times Off/On
-what's the problem and what part do I need?

Need help on my Pioneer SD-P4691

Hello....I have a Pioneer (SDP4691K) rear projection TV, that has developed a "power on, power off" problem. With the main power on, I can turn the set off with the remote, but cannot turn the set on with the remote. When I power the set off completely, I can then turn it back on. I do not have a component diagram for this set, or service manual. Can anyone offer assistance, as to what I should check first? Thanks for any and all help! Vincent
