Television and Home Theater

Hi, want to see if it can be a cheap fix before tossing it away. It's a Mitsubishi CS-2610R, all it do is hums when turned on, no picture and no audio at all. Any feedbacks is deeply appreciated.

My Panasonic hdtv (model # ct36hx41e) has concentric circles of colors. It's like a rainbow expanding out from middle of screen. I can still see the video, but with all these different colors it totally sucks.
My little bro ran into this before a couple of times and just unplugged the t.v. and it returned to normal. I have left it completely unplugged for 24 hours and still no luck.
Any Help Please would be greatly apreciated.

Everytime I turn my TV on all I see is a thin line running horizontally across the screen. I'm not sure what is wrong with the TV, but it has to be the TV because I tried unplugging the cable and turning it on and I get the same thing. I've even tried different outlets.
The TV s a Sears Roebuck and Co. Series LXI. It's pretty old, 1992, and I'm not sure what type of TV it is. Any help would be appreciated.
