Hi, want to see if it can be a cheap fix before tossing it away. It's a Mitsubishi CS-2610R television, all it do is hums when turned on, no picture and no audio at all. Any feedbacks is deeply appreciated.
According to some of the research I've done, buzzing and humming noises usually indicate a problem with the TVs deflection system. This in itself is a hefty repair, and one that usually doesn't fix the problem for long.
You really have 2 things you can try to do. First, do a hard reset by unplugging the TV for about 4 hours, then plug it back in. If that doesn't work, try banging all around the side cabinet of the TV with your fist. You may get lucky and get some corroded connections working again.
