Television and Home Theater

Hi, I'm trying to remove the back of my Philips 36pt71b so I can inspect the boards and take it to a shop. There is a cable going into the c=back of the tube near the top. Where it enters there is a rubber grommet that appears to be there to keep the duct out. There is some sort of metallic thing at the end where it enters and this can be turned with a scraping sound. However it does not want to easily pull out. I can't remove the back of the tv without disconnecting this cord so am asking for help. Thanks!

My Hitachi 53UDX10B projection Tv just went bad. The picture looks like a 3D picture with shadows or ghosts if you may. Looks exactly like watching a 3D movie without glasses. What can be the problem . Is it worth it fixing it or should I get a new TV

I have recently purchased a Samsung LE27T51B and so far have only one gripe:
The picture in picture mode is limited to use with a pc.
In the settings menu the pip option is greyed out so it's not possible to alter the source from PC.
Is there any way of getting around this?
One site i looked at suggested that as long as my tv supports (Y/Pb/Pr) i could use an adaptor cable to convert the VGA port into RGB giving me the option of attaching it to my PS2.
It was all meant to be so simple!!
