distorted sound on tv unless running through vcr?

Can anyone help?
Tried aerial cable direct from tv to socket and sound is distorted,that is very staticy.Some channels worse than others.Its a 69cm sony tv about 9 years old.

Zenith tv problem..

I have a Zenith TV thats about 6 years old and I've always had the same problem with it. The screen is "stretched" out , for instance I can't see the news-ticker on the bottom of the screen on CNN or my volume bar anymore. My friend has the same TV and has the same problem with it.

WHILE I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL LAST MONTH THE COLORS ON MY 2002 ZENITH TV SEPERATED. WHY DID THIS HAPPEN? WAS IT INSURANCE RELATED? REPAIR SHOP SAID 300 TO REPAIR TO UPGRADE SOMETHING AND WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT NEEDS WHERE TO GET IT AND HOW HARD CAN IT BE? I HAVE BEEN REPAIRING HVAC/R EQUIPMENT FOR 18 YEARS AND THINK I CAN MANAGE WITH A LITTLE HELP. I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO HAVE SOMEONE COME OUT AND FIX IT I HAVE BEEN HURT WITH A TORN DISK AND HAVEN'T WORKED I ABOUT A YEAR BUT I MISS MY TV WITH NOTHING ELSE TO DO.

remote with no cancel button - Mitsubshi

Help - Mitsubshi TV set for home theatre. Trying to change back to "normal" TV settings but menu steps say to press cancel button. Remote has no cancel button.... what to do????
