Television and Home Theater

when i turn on tv i get shadows.  I have checked all rear connections.  I also use the flash focus.This would work after a couple of tries, but lately the problem still persist.  Can someone help, or do i need a new tv.

HELP....It's Father's Day and I have a problem with my TV!!!

I have had a Toshiba TP43H60 rear projection set for alittle over 7 years. This morning, I tried to turn in on and get no picture/no sound. I tried both the power button and the remote. when using both, I hear the TV click and the power light on the TV comes on....sounds normal, but then no picture/no sound and after a couple seconds, the power light start flashing.

I unplugged the set for a period of time and tried again....same results.

I have a Toshiba Television and I'm having a problem that I need help with. For the past few weeks I notice thin lines about 7 or 8 at the top of my TV. I wonder why? When I'm watching an old black and white movie the lines seem to fade but I see them with I'm watching in color or when the lines can't fade. What could it be?
