dropps sound, unplug and replug seems to help for a while but always comes back

my 52" rca drops sound. Unplugging and replugging it resets it but it always comes back, can anyone tell me the cause, seems somethings overheating, If it a plug and play part I,m sure I could fix it myself, thanks a bunch, tired of unplugging,   bpesr.
