i have a tv dilema when watcching tv the pictre shadows green as you would imagine it would if there was a fault with the tube however when i play dvd the picture is fine do i a look at replacing my tv or b consider having it repaired as it may be something silly wich may not cost that much to repair .it is aphilips 28pw6515 wide screen tv

hi, i'm looking for some help

 we had a bit of a powercut this morning, and now our tv wont turn on - the standby light just keeps flashing on and off. theres no picture, and no sound.

 we turned off the power altogether for an hour or so, but its still the same. any advice would be great, before i have to call in someone to repair it.

Picture Problem on Toshiba 20AF46C

I just bought a Toshiba 20AF46C Direct View TV and I am having what seems to be a problem with the picture. I notice it most when playing a DVD (I use a Toshiba DVD player with ColorStream RGB connections), but I can see it sometimes while watching regular TV also. I am not sure if I can explain this properly, but when I am playing a widescreen format movie, the top edge of the picture where it meets the black bar looks to be slightly concave. I also see a similar, albeit slight, distortion when watching regular TV.

I can not even find a helpful repairman at the rv fix-it places.  Can a cable installer figure this mess out and make a reliable repair?

DVD/VCR Combo - VCR has audio but no video

I have a Toshiba 27inch tube tv (model 27A45C) with 2 video inputs.  I tried connecting a Samsung DVD/VCR combo into INPUT 1 using the red/white/yellow cables.  The DVD works fine but the VCR has no video, however the audio works fine.  The VCR tv channels also have no video but the audio works fine.  When I set it to VCR I hear the audio but the Samsung DVD display is always showing on the screen.
