My Hitachi 4:3 HDTV and the Black Bar Syndrome

A TechLore "Ask the Experts" Question...

Question:

I own a Hitachi 4:3 HDTV (model # 53UDX10B) and recently acquired a Comcast HDTV receiver. When I view the HDTV channels through the new Comcast receiver, I often get black bars at the top and bottom, as well as the left and right sides of the image. It's like looking in a box within a box. What is wrong, and how can I fix it?

First PSP Impressions - and a Bold Statement!

Ok, when you start calling yourself an Early Gadget Adopter, you better be prepared to live up to the expectations of the title.

For example, today was the launch of Sony's new PSP handheld gaming system. Now of course I need to be first in line, that's a given. But - and here is where the men start to separate themselves from the boys - I WAS first in line at two out of the three stores in the area! After all, I have a reputation to uphold. I need to raise the bar.
