Like Jack says, no service manuals to be had. It needs new convergence chips. Open it up and get visually familiar with the inside. The convergence chips are thermal-glued to giant heat syncs on the D board...you can't miss em. If you're like me, a little apprehensive about soldering new chips in, just unscrew the board tray and slide the whole thing out after disconnecting your cables. Be sure to label the cables, you'll want to plug them back in correctly the first time.
Find a local electronics shop and have them replace them for you or talk to the guys at Atlas Electronics in Dallas if you have no local reputable shop. I recommend getting someone to test the board first as one bad resistor can mess up your newly replaced convergence chips.
Remember, there is high voltage in your tv so be careful.
I have a Toshiba 50HX81 with the blinking power light issue. I replace F850, 851 and 852. the Tv worked for about an hour and now 850 and 852 have blown again. All caps look good, should I go directly for the convergence IC or look for something else on the power supply board?
I spoke with Sam at Atlas Electronics in Dallas (local referral) this morning. He's quoted me $22.50 to test the board and install the convergence amps. He's charging $20 for each amp so around $60 total. Not too bad considering I don't have to purchase a precision soldering iron and risk messing up the board also.
Larry, I hope you beat down that cancer...hang in there buddy!
I took the board to Atlas this morning and waited less than 15 minutes. Only problem was the convergence amps. He upgraded me from 110 to 150 for $10. Total $77 w/tax.

You need to get into the service menu. Activating the Panasonic service menu is a strange process, i don't have it here now, but once i get into work tomorrow i will relay the info.
if you leave an e-mail address I will send you a PDF of the service manual so you can see for yourself all the steps to adjust the different fine and course Adjustments in the service menu !

Having the same problem here - I'd love the manual too. I'm going to try and tackle this myself.
hey nick do you have any idea how many models Panasonic makes??do NOT ask orb leave an e-mail address any longer here on techlore please. please ask on the technicians corner under the resources tab on the home page if you do not see it there ASK there Please!!!!!
Larry Dillon
the 3 blink on a Panasonic is always the bad convergence ic's
The best advice I can tell you at this point is to go to tvrepairkits.com and order the complete convergence kit for your model of TV set, no need to search and order multiple parts from different sources and pay multiple shipping fees! The kit comes with original Sanyo STK IC'S , not those cheap aftermarket or china made IC'S full pictorial directions, the thermal paste, resistors, the correct Pico fuses, AND free live on-Line tech assistance in case you run into a problem with the repair. They ship out 2 to 3 day Priority mail, the next day in most cases GOOD LUCK!!!

I had the same problem with the light blinking three times. I had a friend replace the IC's and i have picture now but the convergence is all screwed up. I tried adjusting it with the remote but it won't do anything. The prompts come up and the arrows blink but there is no adjustment being made. Any suggestions?????
Sounds like a resistor and or a pico fuse, did you check the ones around the IC's?Did you clean the board around the solder joiints with acetone and check for bridged gaps
Larry Dillon im having the same problem with my fire house TV cant afford to buy new one can can u send manual forpt-47wx42f
