I have a 2005 model 27V412T it is an RCA and when i plug it in it goes on and off continuously. I have to then unplug it to turn it off. But the minute I plug it in it starts over again on and off on and off over and over what the heck is wrong with this thing. I let it sit for 2 weeks plugged it in and it worked fine for a week and then all of a sudden went off and started doing this thing again. Any help would be appreciated.

RCA 35v432t

Picture went black. Turned set off and it wouldn't turn back on. It just clicked a few times. Dusted the inside as per this tip (http://www.fixya.com/support/t1086734-rca_35_no_picture_clicking_zapping) and now it just buzzes kind of like high power electrical lines when plugged in and still won't turn on. The power button has no effect - it's as if the TV is unplugged.

If the unit try's to turn on

If the unit try's to turn on three times and then stops could be one of two problems there is a small coil between the output of the horizontal driver transformer and the base of the horizontal output transistor has bad connections. If you only re solder it the problem WILL reoccur! You need to remove the coil and scrape off both sides and reinsert into the circuit OR the fly back transformer is bad. and I am told that is no longer available!

The local shop says it needs a new power supply at a cost of $195 + 9.5% state sales tax.

Any comments/suggestions? Should I spend $214 on a 4 year old CRT TV or invest in a LCD?

Larry... you seem to be the

Larry... you seem to be the man with the Mitsubishi big screens. I have an issue that is just developing and am hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction.

Long story short, I have the Mitsubishi WD-73827 73 in. HDTV DLP TV... and it's been a beautiful picture up until just recently. Now, the picture is extreamly saturated, and the colors don't blend smoothly, but more in segments... almost as if the tv was not able to produce as many colors.

Any advice would be very much appreciated, sir.

Thanks, and my best.

I'm changing the STK ic chips

I'm changing the STK ic chips and I can't find any bad fuses.

Is it possable for an ic chip to go bad and not blow any fuses ?

I checked all 7 Pico fuses on my D board and 2 on the G board with an ohm meter, all good

highly unlikely man but does

highly unlikely man but does happen all the time but if the set all of a suddenly goes out of convergence alignment but the picos all check good, a bad chip, resistor, or coil on the G or/D and the D board are bad as most chips do have three amps built in to them. some have all six in them. always measure the negitive and the positive voltasge on both sides of the coils and resistors unless measuring resistance , then always test those with one side disconnected from the board that includes the d and the g boards, if that is the case do not try to adjust the or touch up the convergence in the manual mode as it could make the TV set harder to adjust and or set-up when the set is repaired.

that model of tv was very expensive!!!! Your best bet is to call Sony and ask for the nearest authorized Sony repair station in your area, then call the local BBB and see what type if any complaints were filed against that repair station. You might get one that operates above board.

second likely #2, etc. Two #1 means both boards have an equal probability. To resolve the conflict, testing is
