Im in trouble--help me (Pioneer Elite pro 630 hd)

Anyone who can make a suggestion I would greatly appreciate it.  I have messed up the main TV and the wife is not happy.

I know next to nothing about the inside of a TV.  Here is the problem.  My center channel sucks in my surround sound so I thought I would open up the TV and hook up the TV speakers that are not being used to add a little kick to the vocals.  I am in the field of Custom Electronics so I thought this should be easy.  Here is what I did

Opened up the back panel and cut the speaker leads

Spliced on 22 guage wire to the amp and closed the panel

After I did this the TV would not power up so I put things back as they were when I opened the TV and still no luck

The hard power button comes on and blinks Red / The normal power button will not do anything.  I have looked at the fuses and they are Ok?

Anything else I can try??

whats the make and model of

whats the make and model of the tv? did you blow the speaker's in it?

Possible that you may have blow the speaker / speaker's and the TV can sense this, and that would ex plane why it would not come on while it was hooked to the amp.. It need's a load on the speaker output..other wise it detect's there is a problem and shut's down, it a safety feature.
Check your speaker, with an ohm meter and replace if they read bad.
I guess you ment that you hook the tv speaker's to an amp.. or did you hook the tv's speaker output's to an amp? if it's the later then you might have problem's..
