The best advice I can tell

The best advice I can tell you is to go to and orderhttp://www.tvrepairkits.com/xcart/home.php?partner=larry the blinking light kit for your model of set, the kit comes with the high temperature/ high frequency/long life 105 Celsius type capacitors (not those cheap Radio Shack caps) full easy to follow pictorial directions, AND free live on-Line tech assistance in case you run into a problem, all kits are shipped out within 24 hours in most cases, 2 to 3 day Priority mail. Use metal or flameproof

Use metal or flameproof resistors, not carbon. If you can't find them locally, try parts-express.com or Amazon. Search for 6.8 ohm 1w flameproof resistor .

you are also going to make

you are also going to make sure that you use original replacement convergence ic's if you need original ic's and the proper resistors all in one kit The best advice I can tell you at this point is to go to TV repair kits.com and order the complete convergence kit for your model of TV set, click on here please: http://www.tvrepairkits.com/xcart/home.php?partner=larry
no need to search and order multiple parts from different sources and pay multiple shipping fees! The kit comes with original Sanyo STK ICÂ’S , not those cheap aftermarket or china made ICÂ’S full pictorial directions, the thermal paste, resistors, the correct Pico fuses, AND free live on-Line tech assistance in case you run into a problem with the repair. They ship out 2 to 3 day Priority mail, the next day in most cases,

I have replaced both

I have replaced both convergence ic's with the same exact one's I took out. I installed the kit from tvrepairworld.com. I replaced both ic's and the twelve resistors. The problem is my screen in bowed at the top and bottom. I can adjust every single gun up, down, left, and right, but when it comes to the green color gun I can only adjust it left or right. I CAN NOT ADJUST IT UP OR DOWN. I can't figured out the problem. I do have a service manual. Does anyone know what my problem could be?

Convergence is off on my 60"

Convergence is off on my 60" Philips? Blue and red ghosts everywhere. When I change the color spacing to RGB, the picture is sharp, but with an overall green environment with occasional splashes of red and blue. Whatcha think?

I have a Phillips 51PW9303 TV

I have a Phillips 51PW9303 TV and I also have a cross hair adjust issue most of the crosshairs look like a H with extra long cross in the center and will not adjust to a + sign at all some of them did but only a few the rest are in H spape and some of them like someone else are not fully right cause the bottom of the line is bent.. I have cover the green lamp and the picture was great but the color sucked lol uncover and back to the shadows.. I dont know anything about tv but out of work and cant afford to have it taken to a shop and someone gave me the tv so willing to mess with it if anyone can tell me how to fix this issue thanks

Larry is right tvrepairkits

Larry is right tvrepairkits.com worked its magic on my TV. I purchased one of their kits and it worked perfectly. They were very helpful through the repair process. I had a few questions during my repair and they walked me through the end for a successful repair via their email help desk. I will recommend them to anyone.

I was having the same problem

I was having the same problem as the original poster. Same EXACT model. I purchased and installed (following both the provided instructions, and additional videos) both IC convergence chips and all 12 6.8ohm 1w resistors (board #'s 3149-3160). I purchased the whole kit from tvrepairkits.com which as I've read here just about everyone agrees is a good reputable dealer of tv repair parts.

All the parts that came in the kit were in fact the exact replacements for the old parts. The only difference is the resistors were upgraded from the original small, grey, numbered (no color bands) 6R8J 1w resistors, to the larger, light blue, color band (blue, grey, gold, gold, white) 6.8ohm 1w resistors.

The problem now is I've lost all picture. Sound is still there and fine but all 3 projectors are not even firing up, no menus, no video, no picture at all. I found a suggestion on another site to disconnect the ribbon cable from socket 1516 on the center board that connects to the convergence/input board and I should get some kind of image...still nothing. I've checked every input as well. I have power, and sound, just no image at all.

While soldering I checked my work with a handheld microscope (not kidding) during and after the install multiple times and all the joints on the resistors and the ic chips are perfect. Anyone who helps me would be saving me $300 for a repair tech call.
