Are you talking about the

Ok so this is what you do.

Ok so this is what you do.
Turn your computer on.
Hold down the F8 key while it is trying to boot up.
you will be taken to a menu list on how to boot your computer up.
boot up in SAFE MODE
now it will take you to login window again but you do not have to put in password.
Click NEXT
windows xp will start up.
go into control panel
go into user accounts.
select the Admin name and then you can change password or turn password protected off.
once that is done you can then reboot windows into normal mode and type in the new password you created. or if you turned password protection to OFF then windows will boot up with no login details needed.

I hope this helps you.

Hi Eric Firstly try the above

Hi Eric Firstly try the above solution if that solution doesn’t work properly then try reinstall the windows files may be that will bypass your windows admin password if your command prompt is working through safe mode then At a command prompt, type "control userpasswords2" and press Enter to open the Windows 2000-style User Accounts application. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter a User Name and Password to Use This Computer check box and then click OK. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start your computer. At last I am suggesting you one website try to find out the software that will solve your problems.
