mitsibushi wd 62627 tv blinking timer light

Hi i had an issue the other night in which my power went off but returned back on soon afterwards, however now my tv is having an issue in which the timer light continues blinking and the power doesn't come on. After reading around the website i found that similar models were being diagnosed with a DM board issue and i was just wondering if anyone would be able to offer any kind of helpful hints or tips for how to fix this problem. Thanks

Subj: Mitsubishi WD-62627

Subj: Mitsubishi WD-62627 Problems

First it was the Device menu not being shown, then blue screen and then shut down. Then came the continuos green blinking light, and no TV. Now, we don't even get the gleen blinking LED unless we reset the TV, and still no TV.

And they all happened within a couple hours of each other. I'm guessing I've got several over-lapping problems? I've been reading on your site about other Mitsubishi models having DM and power supply problems. I haven't found which set of buttons to push to get the diagnotic code(s) returned. Any suggestions, manuals, or fixit ideas would be appreciated. Technical level is fairly high.

Thanks,
Dave

Hi, Larry,

Hi, Larry,

I downloaded the service manual for my Mitsubishi WD-62627 and followed the instructions for getting the error codes (push both the Device and Menu front panel buttons sumultaneously for 5 secs). Following the reset button push, waiting for the blinking light to stop, and then push these 2 buttons for 5 secs, I get absolutely nothing! Dead as a the perverbial doornail! Suggestions. Thanks.

Hey Eddie, try this....it's a shot in the dark....I had this same problem and now my TV is like new again after I gave up all hope...here ya go...

1) get your remote control
2) hit "MENU" not device menu
3)hit 2,4,7,0...then MENU again (sometimes you have to do it again in a faster sequence)
3a) so to recap....MENU,2,4,7,0,MENU
4) tv will reinitialize itself back to original defaults and possibly, hopefully fix your TV. 5) let me know if this [email protected]
