My TV just started to lose its convergence so I converged it. I had to do this twice in about a 10 min timeframe. It then went completely black. I decided to change the convergence amplifiers, but the TV is still black. Maybe a resistor? Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
First off, If you are sure of the model number, do not fret just yet. You most likely need to check and see if you have the right plus and minus voltages on the IC's. Did you buy the good IC's? Or the aftermarket type IC's? If you paid less the 10 to 15 bucks a pop, they are the cheapo IC's. You will most likely need a service manual to see where the pico fuses are, as these do blow out when these IC's blow out. Also, Did you install new heat sink compound on the backs of the new IC's before you installed them? let me know if you did all this as well as access to a service manual, as I do not have this model number in my data.
I did buy the cheapo IC's. I have a service manual that I downloaded. I really don't know how to look for the pico fuses though. I did use heat sink compound on the IC's. I can send you the service manual via e-mail if you want to look at it. Thanks for helping.
