Hello Larry. I have a 62"

Hello Larry. I have a 62" Mitsubishi DLP, model#WD-62528, with the same blinking green light. I had a tech to diagnose the problems and he stated it was the power supply board which will cost $310.00. Can you send me the instructions on the replacing the capacitors along with the part numbers and place to buy or order. I hope this can fix the problem before spending the large amount on the power supply board. Thanks Larry

Larry Dillon said: If you are handy, and can solder, you may be able to save about 700 bucks if not more. There is a very common problem with these Mitsubishi TV sets. There is a digital board inside these puppies called the DM board. A lot of times there are four capacitors that go bad inside of these TV sets. Sometimes, depending on how bad the capacitors are, and if the capacitors did not blow out anything else on the Dm board, you can simply replace these four capacitors and this will fix your TV set. The average that this works on is about 65 to 70 % of the sets can be repaired with this fix. The others are power supply issues or the DM board has other issues. If you would like to attempt to repair your TV set, I will send you the instructions on how to do so.  If you do not know how to solder well, do not attempt to replace the capacitors yourself. Pay a pro to do this for you. After all you are already saving a bundle of cash. Leave an e-mail address, and I will forward you the fix with and without the light engine. And if the capacitors inside the board are not swollen on the tops, as the direction shows you what they look like, the capacitors are most likely not your problem.

Larry, I've got a WS-55513 with this blinking green light problem.  Can I get a copy of this manual too?  Thanks!   rrstalnaker dscf org

Hi Larry,

Hi Larry,

I have the same Green Light of Death problem as everyone else on a 65" Mitsubishi WS65613. I've had the TV for just over 5 years now and this is the second time the problem has happened to me. I never bought the extended warranty so I paid about $500 to get the problem fixed the first time. The TV also has small green/red/yellow dots burned into the center of the screen which I have learned to live with because I was told it is not worth the money to replace. So I would like to try fixing it myself this time. I don't think I have anything to lose. Can you please send the detailed instructions to [email protected]. I really appreciate it. Thank you and good luck to everyone else with the same problem.

It appears that Larry will do

It appears that Larry will do what he feels like and I totally agree with him.

When YOU develop the procedure to fix all of the televisions that Larry has, and give it away for free (asking only for a donation for his time) then YOU can put it on a link.

Where do we get these people telling Larry what to do?
