JVC television picture is enlarged

I have a fairly new JVC 32" I'art TV. When I turn it on now the picture is enlarged. It looks like it's at 125%. Is there a service setting to reset the size. There is nothing in the menu keys to resize the picture. I did try the obvious.(unplugging, menu keys, disconnecting everything attached).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it's a digital TV, it

If it's a digital TV, it probably has a few different format modes to expand analog or widescreen movies to fit the screen. Look for a button labled "Aspect" or "Format" on your remote control.

Thanks for the reply Matt

Thanks for the reply Matt this is not a digital TV. It does have a digital comb filter, but there is no Aspect or Format buttons on the remote. Any other Ideas? thanks

Sounds like either the onboard memory has been corrupted or the high-voltage/horizontal circuit is failing. All the adjustments for this set, other than those in the customer menu are software controlled and 'tweeked' using either a link to a PC or a special hidden service menu. Take your set to a service center, preferably JVC authorized (so that they have the correct interface/data).

If Matt can get the service

If Matt can get the service literature, you might be able to acess the service menu youself and make the adjustments, but 125% is a little high for a software error.

Thank you for that info. I guess I will have to bring it somewhere unless I can get those service menus. I would be willing to try changing those if anyone has them.

Hard to read, but I think it's the first one. hope this helps. It also has a ref.#514 not sure what this is.
