Larry Dillon said: This problem could be a bad DM board.  If you are handy or knows anyone who is, and they can solder, I have an instructional file that will show you how to take out the DM board, find the bad parts, and even give you a source where to get the parts. There are even pictures included!  Now once you get this apart, and the capacitors look good, check the capacitors, or have them checked.  I have seen in a few cases where some folks have only replaced the capacitors that looked bad.  If this does not fix your problem, you will need to have a pro come out and check out your TV set..  If you do not have a clue what you are doing, please play it safe and call in a tech.  If this board is indeed bad, the repair should not eceed 1000 bucks.  If you want this file, leave an e-mail address and i will forwar it to you.  Remember, there is a possibility that there is another problem with your TV set, but this has fixed over 65% of the peoples TV sets that I have shared this file with.  Good Luck, and let us know if this helps you.

Hello Dillon:

I have the blinking light of death, could you send me the documents to replace the capacitors.

Thanks

Larry,

Larry,

I am yet another blinking light victim. The tech that came out diagnosed a bad DM board. He ordered a new board. The tech told me it could be weeks, months or the preverbial cold day in hell before I get another board. Mitsubishi simply said they were on back order. A shipment was due 10/31/07 but couldn't tell me how many back orders they could fill.

I did a search and found this site. You guys are good. Even the tech, an authorized Mitsubishi shop, had never heard of a possible repair.

I have a WS- 65813 and would appreciate any help. [email protected]

Thank you, Ron

Hi Larry

Hi Larry

I also have a WS-55613 with the same blinking green light issue. My TV behaved pretty much similar to tpriddy1979's TV from above. After the first time I got this problem, TV did work for about 10 days, stopped again for couple of days, worked again for a week or so. Finally about 5 days ago I started getting the blinking green light, and the TV is is not turning on again. In fact I left the TV like that for about 36 hours with blinking green light, but still it is not working. Can you please send me the info to my email [email protected] to do the repair? I appreciate your help

My blinking light deal is

My blinking light deal is like this. When I turn on the TV in the morning the light flashes for how ever long unknown more than 10 minutes right now. But when I come back at the end of the day the TV is off I turn on the TV it comes on no issues. Its like something is holding it from comming on at a specific time. Any ideas.

klinker, i am not an expert

klinker, i am not an expert on this repair, but i do know the behavior of capacitors. and if they are malfunctioning, they can change their behavior un predictably due to temp.

Larry Dillon
I agree what zapdpf said,

I agree what zapdpf said, these capacitors in this set will most of the time have different symptoms, and yours is for sure one of them. Go in if your able and change the caps before they blow out the surface mounted fuse(s), or cause other damage to the DM printed circuit board.
