In a Bob Dylan State of MindOver the past few days buzz has been building over the possible launch of a Stage6 clone. According to the DivxIT.net website, a Stage6 ?alternative/clone? will be revealed on April 29th. If this is true, it would be an exciting development for fans who still crave the high quality Stage6 experience.

Global Begins HD Broadcasting in Canada

Canada?s national television network, Global, is now broadcasting in HD in the Metropolitan Toronto and Golden Horseshoe areas of Ontario on their Hamilton (CHCH) and Toronto (CIII) affiliates. Global is Canada?s last major nationwide network to start broadcasting in HD. It was facing a June 2008 hard deadline imposed by the CRTC to begin broadcasting. It had missed previous CRTC-imposed deadlines.

I’ve been living with the Slacker Portable device for about six weeks now and have accumulated a slew of thoughts/insights/revelations on what I like and don’t like about the music player. In case you’re really ADD or just don’t have the time to read the details, here’s the bottom line: the functionality of the Slacker Portable is phenomenal, and far outweighs the hardware and software quirks that come along with it.

The FedEx man dropped off a new goodie early this AM. What makes the Dash Express auto GPS ($400, plus service) unique is the integrated Internet connectivity (WiFi and cellular. Sprint?), expanding point of interest (POI) search possibilities and enhancing real-time traffic data by feeding customer driving experiences back into the cloud. I haven’t done much testing yet, though appreciated sending the loaner GPS my home address via the web and successful routing the 2/10ths of a mile here to my office (Starbucks).
