We had a DVD player that would freeze up while watching a movie. No matter if you restarted the movie or not it always freezes up. It didn't matter what movie either. We thought it was the DVD player so we got a new one. Well our new one is doing it too. What the heck?

dvr to laptop

i have a dvr (digital cable box) from gci (cable company in alaska)....... well i want to put some "stuff" i have recorded to my laptop. On the back of the dvr is has 2 firewire ports and my laptop also has firewire. when i connect them is says cant find hardware. i am thinking that i need to go to the motorola site and maybe download something to my laptop so i can get the "stuff" on my computer??? thanks in advanced

HELP PLEASE! I am not a dolt when it comes to video equipment but for some reason I am not figuring out how to program my VCR to record shows on my CineVision DVD/VCR combo.

Do I have the original instructions you ask? Of course not, I'm not that smart! LOL Anyway, if anyone has experience in this please help. My kids are about to hang me and, personally I don't blame them.
