toshiba vcr/dvd

I have a 3 month old Toshiba VCR/DVD which recorded fine for approx.2 1/2 months. Now, although it records the timer program, on play back it "jumps" the entire viewing time. I bought new tapes - the same result. I have read the book over and over and have engaged the auto tracking and tried the manual tracking to no avail. I have put in a store bought movie and that plays just fine. I cannot find what might be causing this. I have also purchased a brand new Toshiba TV, so the TV is not the problem. can anyone help? thank you

Where can I find a DVD player belt?

I have an Apex AD-3201 DVD player in which the belt that drives the loading drawer broke. I would like to know where to obtain a new one! All efforts have been fruitless thus far. I am considering a small rubber band, but they are softer and I don't think it will last very long. All advice is appreciated.

Just read another article on the new High-Def DVD formats (Blu-Ray and HD-DVD). I have to say that it still looks to me like Blu-Ray will win the day.

DVP-S560D problem!

I have a sony home dvd player which suddenly stopped working a few days ago. When I turn the player on I get fairly large blocks across the entire screen. A DVD will play, but the images are very distorted. These multi-colored blocks are quite annoying. This occurs with or without a DVD in the player. For example, the standard screen encountered upon powering up the DVD(the screen that says insert DVD) is also distorted? Any ideas? It occus when I use the standards yellow, white, red cables or if I use the the S-video cables. Any ideas?

DVD Players spins then shuts off

I have a Toshiba SD-3805 5-disc dvd player and its to the point where if I turn it on, it will spin for about 3 seconds, then shut off. If I try to power it on after that, it will do the same thing. No discs are in, and nothing is stuck in the tray. Any ideas? Thanks.

Dvd plays in black & white

Hi,
I have Sony DVD player (Model: DVP-NS530)& Sony Tv (Model: Kv-G21Q2).Problem is that when I play VCD in player it gives colored image, when I play DVD in it it shows the black & white movie.On the other hand I have checked it by replacing the DVD player or the TV as well they work perfect on other tv or dvd player,please help.
