Grand Wega with White Screen dead or alive?

I recently upgraded my Dish satellite from an 811 HDTV receiver to a 622 HDTV DVR. During the setup the tech pressed the select button for the incorrect resolution of 480P. My Tv is A Sony Grand Wega 55KDF-XS955. The receiver was connected to the tv through an HDMI cable. The tv's pixels blacked out and now the tv display is pure white and I cannot get access to the other inputs or menus. What could have caused this bizarre behavior? I have tried to reset the tv but with no luck. Thanks, Bhome.

Is the green gun stationary on my Zenith

I read somewhere on this very informative site that on some models the green gun is stationary. Does anyone know if this is true for a Zenith rz56z83d8? I have so far learned I may need to buy an avia convergence disc to get the green to a more suitable level, but I don't know if this will work for my tv or not?

What kind of tv do i have?

My GE big screen worked fine last night when I turned it off.  I woke up this morning and it was on, with a blue screen, and the number "V1.1.0P" in the upper left corner in white font.  Sound is fine, but I cannot get any video from the cable, DVD, or VCR.

 Any ideas?

sony 53 projection

Philips 28DW6734..gone dead

While watching the Philips  28dw6743 tv which is 6 years old it went bang. Now nothing works on it, not even the light indicating power. I have changed the plug fuse to no avail.

Is it worth getting it repaired, or even taking to get the repair shop look at it?
