Screen size wrong

I have a Sylvania 27" TV Model SRT2027 and it used to display fine. My grandchildren did something...(hooked up a playstation/XBox/Nintendo64 or played a widescreen movie)  anyway....even though I have unhooked everything from the TV....it still displays in widescreen mode.  The picture on the left and right sides are cut off.  Please Help!

Picture is to brite

I have a Sony KP53V15 , the settings on the britness menu are
all the way down and the picture is still to brite. I had the tv worked
on for a differnt problem and when the set was returned I tried to
adjust the picture and could not get the britness down. When I asked
the tv tech. he said that would be another call.My queston is, is there
a Master brtiness control somewhere on the inside of the tv to bring
the britness down

can not connect laptop to hdtv

hi guru,

I have trying to connect following 2 devices:

- compaq laptop with intel extreme graphics mobile video card, which only has VGA output, but does support multiple output device including TV

- a HDTV

I bought a VGA/S-Video cable

When I hooked up the 2 with the cable, in my video card control software, I was able to find the TV and choose it as output. However, the picture shows black/white and in three folds overlaping each other on my HDTV.

Yellow Peril

While watching a
TV program, the screen suddenly turned yellow with faint diagonal
lines. The audio stayed OK and I could select all the channels. After
about 20 minutes, the screen returned with a normal picture and has
remained that way. Any ideas on what caused this??
