Panny TH-42PD60U went nuts and pooped out?

My dads Panny blew up last night, I'm trying to diagnose it. It's red power light still comes on, so I think the power supply is alright, but it might be the screen. He said it "popped" loudly, enough that my dog jumped and ran, what could that be if not the power supply? I'm gonna tear it apart tonight, but does anyone have a service manual or any info on this model to give me? I'd be very appreciative!

Luckily nobody viewed that post, because I stopped being an idiot and managed to rip the circuit board out of my tv. Now onto the good stuff.

I picked up a nice big tv that the convergence is all screwy on. The guy had it for 7 years already and said he got his money out of it. I lugged that heavy 242 lb TV up two flights of stairs with my brother's help and tore it apart in my living room.

The On switch on Sony has a mind of its own.

We have a Sony projection television that turns on to the point of sound and then suddenly turns itself off. Whether I use the remote or manually the television starts to come on voice and all.  The sound of my favorite show is music to my ears after a long day, but instead of sound graduating to the televsion screen filling with action, the standby light flashes, and off goes the power.

help diode marking code v6 33 Plasma TV 46"

Hi i looking for information for one surface mount zener diode ( with dimension 4mm. x 2mm.

Mitsubishi WS-65315 will not power up at all!

My 65" rear projection TV will not power on at all. It does not have a blinking green light or any light at all. It seemed to work just fine one day then it would not power on the next morning. I have looked for popped caps but can't seem to find any. The power board looks like it was getting hot in a couple of places (board looks like it turned brown from heat). Is there some test points I can check with a digital multi meter? And what should the test values be?

mitsubishi ws 55613 will not power ON

Mitsubishi WS-55613 TV ----When we press the power button, the green light will come on for a second but then we hear a CLICK on it shuts off right away.

Any ideas on what could be wrong-----the green light had been blinking prior to this but would eventually turn the Tv on.

Hearing a lot about capacitors needing replaced???????? I do not know where they are or how to replace them.PLEASE advise

THANKS!!
