i have a matsui 42p900 ldc 42'' tv and i was waching and i herd a click and the picture went black but the sound of the program carried on. how do i get the picture back???

i've recently lost my remote control for my digihome dvb 915 digi box, i have a radioshack universal remote control but do not know where to get the codes ive searched everywhere any ideas? any help is greatly appreciated thank you

For once I'm going to ask a question...

I have a JVC Model AV-32F802 with the following symptoms:

 The unit works for about 3-5 minutes then appears to enter a mode of being overdriven.  Retrace lines are visible like the HV transformer has been adjusted too high and then the unit enters shutdown.  Immediately powering off and on, starts the 3-5 minute clock again.  I suspect that the HV transformer is bad.  Yes?  I have little experience with JVC models.
