Sony KDF-60XBR950 Blue tint on screen

Hey guys, I posted this in the wrong place the other day, please forgive the repost. I'm hoping somebody has the answer. I have a Sony KDF-60XBR950 that was purchased  7/04. We've already replaced the lamp once about a year ago. Now we have kind of like a blue tinted area, almost like a blue light is being emitted onto the screen that seems to come from the lamp area and continues along the bottom of the screen for a few inches and also covers an irregular oval shaped area in the center of the screen.

magnavox tv repeating demo screen

My 26' older model tv will only turn on/off by the plug outlet and when plugged in just keeps going thru a demo process on screen. I dont want to throw it out until I'm sure it cant be fixed. The picture quality looks great except for the repeating demo screen.  The model # i have is XS2761, serial# 36908462. I think it may be from the 90's.

double images on Sony KF-60XBR800

My five year old KF-60KBR800 has developed a noticeable double / ghost image. Problem is seen on all sources including HD and DVD. The manual says to "set the IMAGE REVISION to an appropriate value". The choices are: auto, 0, 1, 2, 3. It has been set on auto with minor, but annoying, double images. When changed to 0 or 1 the image is much worse. I don't really see any difference between 2 and 3 but THINK 3 is slightly better than auto, but there is still a slight double image on 3. Suggestions / thoughts? By the way, still on the original lamp with, I guess, over 10,000 hours.

Newbie (Wants to buy LCD TV. Has questions)

Want to buy an LCD tv.  Dish network told me it would be an additional 26 dollars to send us HD.   Thinking of getting a 32"- does HD tuner mean that you can keep current reciever?  What should I look for in an LCD? Any help greatly appreciated.
