my self-diagnosis screen reads:

v-stop 1

low b 1

h stop 1

One of my kids spilled a glass of water on the TV. Are the codes shown representative of a problem within one board or is the problem more more complicated than just replacing a board? I was hoping to change out the power supply, or one of the boards. Is it that simple. When the TV is on the picture is great, but it turns on and off more than it stays on!

Well, after searching the net for hours and hours, this site seems to be the best for answers.

Here's the deal. I just got a RCA model #P56820BL (I think it is a 56") rear projection TV.

Here's the history of the TV: The guy who gave this to me said the on/off button does not work. He said he had a repair guy come over and was informed that he needed a new board ($400) to fix it.    I was told that the sound and pic works fine.

I have an 2002 Apex rear projection screen tv. The screen started go ing black from the top and bottom. Now it is all black except about a 2 inch color line across the entire screen. I think this is the entire picture squeezed down to 2 inches. Can some one help me please. Thanks
