Television and Home Theater

Hello,

My Jvc plasma 3+ yrs old w/8300 hrs started showing neon green snow around the edge of the picture, then it got worse, now it's dead.  When I try and turn it on it flashes a powerful electrical pulse with pure white screen for a split second and then stops.  It continues to do this every five seconds (almost like it's attempting to power up) until I shut the main power to it off.  Any repairmen or specialists out there that have heard of this??

 I'm desperate.

I recently set up Sky + in my bedroom with a magic eye, works great but the new Sky + remote I also bought does not operate my bedroom T.V. ( Goodmans LD1701 ) I followed instructions accordingly but to no avail and when I rang Sky they even confirmed the code I had already tried. There next step was to give me no less than 20 more codes to try in the hope that one of them would work but no such luck, they were hopeless after that and now I am left using the old T.V. remote to turn on the T.V. and change volume.

This projection TV displays a half-moon artifact that starts at the top of the TV and dips down about a foot into the picture.

 Any help will be greatly appreciated
