Television and Home Theater

I received this large Toshiba for free several years ago, so I don't know the model. It has worked fine for a while in this setup: DVD player hooked up to S-video, VCR hooked up through RF cables from antenna, to tv, and the yellow RCA cable, as well as audio. (DVD player audio just went to an old stereo receiver and speakers.) Suddenly, one day, there was a small pop and the screen just showed noise. I can still watch dvd's, but the tv won't show the vcr tapes, or regular channels via antenna.

I have a samsung tv that is about 2 years old.  About 2 months ago it randomly started shutting itself off.  The only way to get it to come back on is to unplug and replug the set.  It seems as though it's been shutting itself off much more frequently.  When it started it was about once every couple of days, not it does it at least once a day.  I've searched the internet and cannot find anything on this subject.

Hi, first time actually posting. I have a Philips 36pw9607 tv and when I tried to switch it on this morning the red standby light started blinking rapidly and continuously. Cant get it to switch on. Any ideas?  Any help much appreciated (I'm no techy by the way).
