Television and Home Theater

How do I go from 1080 back to 720?  My kids were playing with the remote and i can't get it back so the picture fits the screen.

I'm working on a RCA projection TV, chassis # PTK 195Y. model # P52960

i'm not able to control or adjust horiz. convergance, i've repl. ic U19500 eeprom

ic u19501, (503,504)  in case. it is on that board for sure. i've put somewhat diff. pcb and it is working, however not complitly, but i can control horiz.did

anyone ran accross somthing like that??

i'm going nuts over that thing, PTS wants too much money for repair.thank

My Toshiba 32" color tv (plain old fashioned kind, six years old) is wigging out. Instead of a full picture we see only a thin line of color across the middle of the screen. The rest is black. What's interesting is you can see the picture through that thin line, as if we have just a sliver of a window on it. Can anyone tell me what this could be and if it is something we can likely fix, or must I inform my wife it's time to get that flat panel plasma or LCD finally?
