Television and Home Theater

GE 46GW948

the main 5A fuse near the AC power cord blew. I replaced it and the TV comes back on but the picture is curved at the top and bottom of the screen and the convergence is way off. The picture is full width and sound it OK. The amount of "bow" in the top and bottom of the picture changes with the picture on the screen. Sometimes it is barely noticeable sometimes with a dark background it pulls in about ¼ of the screen. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Black box on old Mitsubishi projection TV

My 2-yr old, playing around, screwed up my tv...now all I see is a black box that takes over 95% of the screen except when changing channels...but that's no way to watch tv!!!  Tried searching for problem..seems it could be closed caption related (if I understand this website correctly)..but the menu doesn't have CC choices?!! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks muchly.

sonty trinitron tv stuck in standby mode

Just Me

I have an older Sanyo TV.  Model # AVM252A. 25" screen.   It quite working last night and won't turn back on.   It would always make a click when it was turned on and the display would take about5 seconds.   Now, when I press the on button,  I receive a softer click and after 3 seconds I get a lower, muffled click and nothing else happens.

The TV is about 15 years old and has some options in it that I really like.  Do you think I should have it looked at or am I wasting my time and just go out and get a new one?
