Television and Home Theater

We have an older 32" Sony Trinitron (it is a model KV-32S12). It's been a great TV.  It replaced a 20" (?) Trinitron, which had also lasted several years.  We never ever had any complaint about the picture on either of them - always superb. Until now.  The 32" one is doing the exact same thing that the old one did.  It takes forever to turn on.  Black screen for quite some time and then it turns on, turns off, turns on, turns off... for what seems like almost 5 minutes.

Now have a big green circle in center of screen.Red and blue are ok.Its a 50 Inch Philips Projection TV.

Red And Blue Converge Ok but green circle does not get any bigger or smaller.Picture and text inside circle are ok just can not get to project over entire screen. Any ideas would help.

Hi,

I have the 5 blink code coming up, unfortunately the dog ate the original remote so I am unable to bring up the faultlog.

Apart from the blink code the only physical symptoms of a fault are that the OSD keeps flashing up with the current channel information and occasionally the screen appears to green shift slightly.

I had a new Sky+ box connected recently and the OSD problem seems noticeably worse, although this could be a coincidence.

Can anyone shed any light on this problem please?
