RCA P60752 - Fix it or leave it?

I was given a 1995 RCA P60752 Home Theatre System that needs repair. If the system is good, figure it may be worth the cost of repair. (?). The system chirps when turned on (see techlore posts that tell me this would be a short in power supply). 

My quesitons are: what are teh details/specs for this tv?  I can't find anything on the web describing this system. Given what it is and the age (March 1995), is it worth fixing? Won't be in market for a new one which is why I thought of trying to fix this one.

I have a RCA model # F27242GY which stop working on the weekend. With some research I need to replace the high voltage protection circuit on the D-board, It is not worth it to take it in to a repair tech because when all said and done it will cost me just as much to purchase a new TV. I like to replace it myself if possible and I need answers to some questions.

 1)   Where can I get a Manual at?

 2)   Where can I get the part and will I need to do some soldering?

Changing out the d board of a Sony KP-61HS10

I have a Sony KP-61HS10 that needs a new d board.  I have located a replacement d board for $149.  The repair shop wants $650 to replace and repair, so I'm going to try myself.  I think the switch will be fairly easy except I'm unsure about how to disconnect one thicker red wire.  The wire goes into a tall round gray piece sticking up from the board.  Can anyone help?  Do I need a service manual?  Thanks.

Sony T.V. 6 and 7 blinks KV-40XBR800

 Hello, please help. My sony xbr started blinking 6 and 7 blinks in the standby mode. If you unplug it for 24 hrs. it usually works fine. I believe this is something overheating. I can read schematics and work with solid state in my job. I need help narrowing down the problem or I am fine with changing the whole board if this is easier. Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

My Remote no longer work on my tv

 I have a sony tv model # DS35510 . The remote that came with the television no longer work and my tv is stuck in video1 mode and i can't watch regular television do to this problem can someone please help????????/
