Television and Home Theater

My Sony Trinitron Television just stopped working on Friday. When you press the Power button you hear a small click but not a big one. I am tempted to throw it away cause it's been 9 years but I have hope because there is a red light by TIMER/STANDBY which keep on flashing four times. Does anyone know what this means? Can anyone help me before I go out and spend a fortune on a new tv!??!?

Need Service Manual for a Emerson EWL-1503

Its a 15" LCD that just won't turn on.  Can push the power button and the power light comes on for a second, and can push a lot of times real fast and the screen may light up for a second, no real picture though.  Cracked it open, and and have good power readings at different points on the board, so I figure its a relay gone bad some where.

Any thoughts?

I have a 3yr old 27 " Sony Wega tube tv that went black.  Warranty is only for picture tube at this point.  Still doesn't work with a new board and the repair man keeps trying to fix it.  It cost $700 and I wonder at what point I say this is costing too much and cut my loss?  Can't afford a new LCD TV at this point.  Suggestions?
