Hitachi 50V500 Washed Out

I turned on my Hitachi 50V500 today and all of a sudden it is all washed out.  Super bright very much over driven.  It has been running great since Dec of 2003.  Still on the orginal lamp.  Can a dying lamp go bright instead of going dead?  I hate to buy a new $200 lamp if that is not it.  Any other HIT 50V500 owners had this problem?  HELP!!!

Ok, here is another question. I have LG-44SZ61D DLP. On the far left hand side of the picture. There is a black line. The image still appears a little in the black line region. I had the repairman in to replace my lamp. He looked at it and said it is a bad DLP light engine chip and it would cost too much to fix. Is this the case or is their some sort of alignement that has to be done. The line was there before the lamp was replaced.

Can it be fixed?

I have a 47" magnavox bought from Sears in 99.  The picture has been getting darker and darker.  The screen is now black with no sound.  I have a TIVO hooked up to it and a dvd player, the TIVO box blinks when I hit the remote and I can play DVD's with no problem.  The input on th remote still works because I can go from side video to ant etc.  I wanted to know if it is worth having someone come and look at it or if I am better off replacing it with a newer model?  Thanks in advance

red shadows

I have a 52 big screen tv made by zenith and now i get a second red shadow an all of the objects on the screen is this somthing that can be fixed the tv is about 4 years old.

Sony kp-51hw40 6 Blinks!

I am experiencing 6 blinks on my Sony kp-51hw40. I understand that there are a couple of possible things wrong with it: Low B OCP/OVP, +5 line overloaded or shorted. I was wondering if someone has been able to overcome this problem. Any information would help tons! Thanks mike
