Ok, here is another question. I have LG-44SZ61D DLP. On the far left hand side of the picture. There is a black line. The image still appears a little in the black line region. I had the repairman in to replace my lamp. He looked at it and said it is a bad DLP light engine chip and it would cost too much to fix. Is this the case or is their some sort of alignement that has to be done. The line was there before the lamp was replaced.
When you take the light engine out of the chassis there are some adjustment screws (by the colorwheel) that can be tightened or loosened for vertical and horizontal. I had this same problem and it took me 5 tries to get rid of the black shadowed region.
