"perfect focus" problem Samsung HCN4727W rear projection

I had the usual Samsung convergence problems on a Samsung HCN4727W5S/XAA rear projection TV.  The STKs and resistors were bad.  I replaced the convergence board and the convergence issues were almost completely gone.  The user accessible red and blue convergence and perfect focus all worked fine.  The only problem was a very small 1/16” red convergence line on a small part of the user convergence screen.

vcr sound, but no picture

My friends vcr pooped out on her last week, or so we thought. It rewinds, forwards, etc. Plays, but no picture...just sound. All you get is a blue screen. Thought it was bad so we got one from somebody else which I tried on my tv before trying it on hers. Basically it's just being used to watch tv programs that I have taped for her. She'd get through one episode and then it would go to the blank screen again. She'd stop it, take the tape out, put it back in, then play and it'd be fine again. Any idea what would cause this??? (Aside from her apartment being posessed) Please help.

RCA TV too red

The problem I am having is that I cannot adjust the color evenly.  I can adjust ti but not enough to even it out.  I get too much red no matter what I do.  Is this a major problem, or is it something I can repair myself?

High-pitched whine on Samsung 1080i HDTV

Hello

This just started 3 days ago. After being on for about 90 minutes, the TV starts emitting a very high-pitched whine -- only on non-HD channels. The whine goes away when the TV is tuned to an HD channel.

I think the TV is about 3 years old. I bought it used, as is, about a year ago from a lab that tested cable TV settop  boxes all day -- so it pretty much ran all day for a couple of years. However, no trouble up until this point.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Thanks, Steve A

Hazy Magnavox

I have a Magnavox 55" projection TV, model # 9P5534 C103. It was manufactured in 2000. Recently I have noticed the picture has become hazy looking, especially noticeable while watching sports. The picture just isn't as sharp as it once was. I have taken off the screen protector and cleaned it, but it made no difference. I've read a few places about cleaning the mirror, replacing fluid, etc. I know nothing about these TV's but I've heard they're not very complicated. I live in a small city and there are no TV repairmen here.
