Television and Home Theater

Hey Guys, I Bought an AKAI Rear Projection 55" Big Screen TV model PT5598HDI and it worked for a while, until one night I turned the TV off for bed, and the next morning I am stunned to find that my TV has a big bow on the top and bottom, the color is off as well, Here is a pic of what I'm talking about.

Could someone please send me the repair for this.As I read on here this is very common.Happened once, but after a couple of days was fine,now hasnt worked for a couple months.Wish I had read this before I bought a new TV, but if I fix this one I will have a great TV in the garage.Thanks,please send to [email protected], thanks in advance and happy holidays.

I have a Mitsubishi VS-55707 rear projection TV about 7 years old. It still works perfectly. Is it HD compatable? If so, will it be worth the cost of a converter? Will I get noticibly better picture?
