Television and Home Theater

I HAVE A 4 YEAR OLD SONY TRINITRON TV. I JUST BOUGHT A NEW HD LCD SHARP FLAT SCREEN - SO I UNPLUGLED THE SONY - HAD 2 PEOPLE ON EACH SIDE GENTLY SET THE TV ONTO A DOLLY AND MOVED IT TO THE BEDROOM.

HOOKED UP THE CABLE - PLUGED THE TV IN - NO PICTURE - NICE SOUND - AND THE STANDBY ON THE FRONT OF THE TV KEEPS FLASHING. I CAN'T FIND A RESET BUTTON ANYWHERE.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME? DO I GET A REPAIR SERVICE IN AND TRY AND FIX IT - OR DO I SEND IT OFF TO THE TV CEMETERY?

It looks like I am joining the "Mitsubishi party" with everyone else with this "blinking green light of death" problem.  This time it is with model WD-62825.  It was manufactured in October of 2004....so it's just around that three year mark I am hearing people mention.

My 65313 will only display a blue screen, if I plug in a coxial cable I can get audio only. If an use any of the AV jacks I will not receive anything (no audio or video). If I plug it into DTV I receive a purple, blue, and red diagonal picture. You can not make out what show you are watching, but you can tell that you are watching something.  I repair guy came by today and told me that I need a "signal module recondition" for $525 for parts and labor. Need help
