Television and Home Theater

I recently inherited a WS55315 with the blinking light syndrome. it does'nt blink constantly only twice when it is plugged in. Same problem, it will not power up. I've checked all fuses (OK). I'm not sure exactly were the DM module is or the capacitors that are on it. I've not seen this particular model# posted anywhere but feel it is probably the same problem. Would like to try and repair it myself if possible or at least find out if it is worth fixing.

I need advice on whether to fix my six year old samsung rear projection tv, model #st-42w5p. I have had to fix it twice in the span of four years for the same convergence problem. The last two times I have shelled out 2 to 300 dollars a pop for repairs. This time I got a quote of 475 but the repairman seem to echo what some of the techlore members said on previous threads about using oem parts and replacing the board instead of just the stk. I have no experience with electronics just what I could get from this forum.

I have an 8 yearold Sony 53 inch projection TV. Yesterday it appears that the sound went out. I have tried going into the audio functions thru the remote to see if there was anything to adjust but no luck. As of now when I have the speaker turned on about every 3 or 4 seconds i can hear a pop with a little bit of audiable then it gos dead again.
