Television and Home Theater

i recently replace my flyback on my rca 52 tv and noticed that when powering up the red lamp arcs so removed lamp assembly from set and the hv line to lamp is arcing to the metal cover that seals the lamp is there  a fix for this or does the lamp have to be replace or can the jumper from the hv splitter to the lamp be replaced

Panasonic Plasma model# pt-50dl54  Redpower light blinks in intervals of 6. Anyone know whats wrong?

Just tonight after 10 years of use, our Sony set shut down all of a sudden and started blinking twice.  So I was able to locate an on-line Service Manual says two blinks for this set are related to: 

B+ over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.
