Samsung HDTV 1080i Picture Problem (Red Lines)

Hello,

I am new here and I am having a problem with my Samsung HDTV. I believe it is a 42" or maybe bigger. There are red lines (horizontal) on the picture screen. I want to know if anybody knows what could be causing this and if it is a task that I could fix myself.

The model is HCL552W. It is a projection televison.

I saw an article on this site about replacing some type of board. Does anybody know the price range of fixing this problem? Thanks again!

Mitsubishi WT-42311-won't turn on

Set is about 6 years old, worked fine til today.  Push any power button and the relay clicks, led comes on, then the relay clicks again and the led goes out.

Any thoughts?

Sony XBR800 repair gone bad. HELP!

I have a sony kv36XBR800. Awesome tv.

Started to act up, had to push power button twice to get it to work. Then it wouldnt turn on at all, waited an hour or so and got it to come on. Left it on and she worked great for a week, then i forgot and turned it off.OOPS

Wont turn on got the 7 flash business.

I replaced both IC chips on the D board. Plugged back in and notta, when I hit power button, I hear it trying to come on, flashes red 3x then stops, it doesnt repeat the flashes. ANd no picture.

This is my old tv that I try to rescan to cable channels which is set higher than channel 31 the tv is currently has. I have several sony remote which I try to but still unsuccess. Some of the remote has a menu button. Is there a special combination of buttons pressed to get into the menu for rescan the channels.

Larry I was referred to you on the highdefforum for help with this as my warranty ran out last year. I was away at work and grandpa was watching the kids at home two weeks ago. As the story was told to me, he was trying to switch the device menu to the vcr to entertain the kids. He ended up in the tv menu and the tv hasn't worked correctly since!
